What I Liked
I did enjoy the build up of this story, the hunt for the truth while we follow Olivia, which was as clueless about the circumstances of the past as the reader of the story. Julie Clark did a very good job in describe the circumstance and the town to bring you back to the year 1975 and go on a treasure hunt for the truth. I did really like the story of a simple family, months before a tragedy hit them and change their lifes forever. Julie Clark knows how to transport you into a place of the past.
What Didn’t Work for Me
Even though I did like the whole story, the set up, the flow and the writing. I did not care for the characters. I did not really root for any of it. This book is well story driven but not character driven according to my point of view.
My Rating
★★★☆☆
This book was enjoyable with an amazing hunt for the truth. Even though I did not root or care for any character very deeply, as the story kept unfolding it worked really well for me.
Who Should Read This
I recommend Ghostwriter to anyone who is interested in a hunt for the truth and enjoy an amazing story.
Final Thoughts
Ghostwriter was a well written story about solving the murder from the Taylors siblings and finding more and more with the flashbacks of the different views. Julie Clark did capture the challenges and athmosphere from that time really well and I could transport myself in this town from the year 1975.
